IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of January 2014, there is a new GED® test being given. All previous scores obtained before December 31, 2013, have expired.

Classes marked as *Grant Funded are supported by grant funding from Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.

Essential Math Skills I
This course is designed to enable the student to learn how to develop basic computational skills in mathematics. Topics to be covered include place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and addition and subtraction of decimals. Measurement and simple word problems will also be taught. To register, see the Essential Skills Registration Information.

This course is designed to enable the student to learn the skills required to develop and review the basic reading, writing, and math skills needed to transition to the GED course. Topics to be covered include reading comprehension for complex passages, content instruction in science, social studies, essay development, critical thinking skills, basic geometry, and basic algebra for transitioning to the GED class. NOTE: The Young Parent Support Center offers childcare (for children 0-4 years of age) during daytime session only. Transportation is available for both day and evening classes. Call the Center for information or to register (410-853-3860 or 410-853-3872).

Math Skills Review
This class will provide students who possess a high school diploma instruction that will increase skills in whole number place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division needed for job entry-level exams and/or preparation for college entrance assessments. Each class is 30 hours of instruction.
Cost: $85 (Tuition: $60 Fees: $25)

Maryland i-Pathways (Online)
Maryland i-Pathways is a free, teacher-supported online learning environment for GED® test preparation. You must be a Maryland resident, be at least 16 years of age, and be officially withdrawn from high school. Eligibility is based on assessment in both reading and math. Applicants must exhibit minimum 9th grade skill levels in order to be enrolled. To obtain additional information and/or to apply, visit www.mdadultedonline.org. Click "Apply Now" at the right side of the home page. Complete steps 1, 2 and 3. Step 3 is the application. Complete the application and select the Community College of Baltimore County as your testing center.

NOTE: This is not a CCBC program. CCBC is only a testing site.
