Middle States 2022: Rethink. Reenvision. Reaffirm.

In the spirit of continuous improvement and innovation, every eight years CCBC engages in an inclusive self-study process to document ongoing compliance with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Standards for Accreditation and Requirements for Affiliation. CCBC is reaffirmed when the MSCHE Board of Commissioners validates that the college's institutional goals are achieved through self-examination and peer review. CCBC’s current accreditation process, Middle States 2022: Rethink. Reenvision. Reaffirm., began in October 2019 and will culminate in a site visit and peer review by an evaluation team in 2022.

Self-study process

A diverse group of more than 150 stakeholders – including CCBC trustees, faculty, staff and students – are currently engaged in the extensive self-study process. The following institutional priorities for this process are intentionally aligned with the strategic priorities outlined in the FY 2020-FY 2023 Strategic Plan, Rethink What’s Possible:
  • Enrollment stabilization.
  • Economic stabilization.
  • Credit and Continuing Education integration.
  • Transformational academics.
A comprehensive and high-quality self-study report is an important outcome from this process and is vetted by the college community. This document not only exemplifies CCBC’s compliance with the Middle States Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation but also designates opportunities for improvement and innovation to strengthen the institution and promote student success.
