The funding will be used to replicate the Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) model. This is a comprehensive, evidence-based program that provides financial, academic and personal support to low-income students who may need developmental education.
The ASAP model has been shown to significantly improve graduation rates by offering a range of services, including dedicated advising, tutoring and financial assistance. This initiative aligns with the state's goal of increasing economic mobility and helping more than 3,000 Maryland youth and students thrive in their schools and communities.
This grant will allow CCBC to expand its support for students, providing the resources and guidance they need to successfully complete their associate degrees and achieve their academic and career goals.
