Adjunct Faculty,
Music
Gary Hood was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland and graduated from Dunbar High school. His passion for music began around the age of thirteen. Starting with writing poetry, he soon turned to song-writing. At the age of 16, he set up and opened his own recording studio. Following high school he attended Morgan State University, majoring in business marketing. To build on his knowledge and increase his skills in engineering, he later attended SAE Institute for audio technology in New York City. Upon completion of his work at SAE, he did an internship with singer/songwriter Alicia Keys' management company MBK Entertainment Group. After a year and a half in NYC, Gary returned to home to Baltimore where he enhanced and expanded his business with the wealth of knowledge gained in his travels and studies. His love for music and his desire to inspire others lead him to CCBC where he now teaches four different courses in Audio Recording Techniques as well as The Music Business and Industry. He teaches with hopes that he can possibly motivate another mind, whether young or older, to take this industry by the horns!
