Instructors Needed

The Center for Alternative and Supportive Education (CASE) at CCBC is the only community college program of its kind in the state. We offer courses specifically designed for individuals with learning developmental, emotional and/or physical disabilities.

CASE - Agency Contracts

Classes generally run 1-2 hours per week for 16 weeks with a 1-2 week break in between trimesters. Most classes are held between the hours of 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. , Monday through Friday. Some classes meet on weekends and in the evenings at local state hospitals.

CASE - Single Step

Classes generally run from 3- 9 hours per week for 15 weeks on CCBC's semester schedule. Most classes take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in the content area needed
  • No fewer than 2 years of experience working with or providing services to individuals with disabilities in a disabilities provider, special education, or inclusive educational setting or inclusive workplace
