Linux Fundamentals (LPIC-1) Certification

This course is designed to teach students the fundamental concepts of Linux Operating Systems. Topics to be covered include the Linux file system, commands, utilities, text editing, shell programming, and text processing utilities; and command line syntax and features, filename generation, redirection, pipes, and quoting mechanisms. This courses helps prepare students for the LPIC-1, junior level certification for Linux administrators.

Prerequisite: Networking and Data Communications (Network+ Part 1), or A+ courses/background.

Windows 7 Professional Certification

Students will learn to install, configure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft's client/workstation operating system. Topics include: User and group management, disk configuration, protocol installation and configuration, network connectivity, security and performance optimization. This course helps prepare students for the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification exams.

Prerequisite: Networking and Data Communications (Network+ Part 1), or A+ courses.

Windows Server Certification

Students will install, configure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server operating system. Topics include: Server administration, disk mirroring, Active Directory, NTFS permissions, global groups, remote management and performance monitoring. This course helps prepare students for the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification exams.

Prerequisite: Networking and Data Communications (Network+ Part 1), or A+ courses, or Windows Professional.

Windows Server Network Infrastructure Certification

This course is designed to teach students how to implement and configure a secure network infrastructure that ensures reliable network connectivity. Topics to be covered include installation of network protocols and services, TCP/IP subnetting, routing, internetworking, remote access, DNS, encryption, and authentication. This course helps prepare students for the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification exams.
