About Stevenson UniversityStevenson University was founded in 1947 as Villa Julie College. In 2008, the college adopted the name Stevenson University to reflect its growing size, expanding mission, and breadth of academic offerings. Serving over 2,700 undergraduate students as well as nearly 900 online students, the university is committed to providing exceptional experiences, a connection to career, and a community centered on student success.
Stevenson offers over 90 majors, minors, and tracks including pre-professional tracks in Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Veterinary Medicine. Stevenson Online offers 27 online master’s and bachelor degree programs for working adults.
General transfer informationStevenson University will accept up to 70 credits from 2-year institutions. Up to 90 credits can be applied to degree requirements from a combination of 2-year institutions, 4-year institutions and non-direct classroom instruction (including CLEP, AP, and other nationally recognized standardized examination scores. Students intending to transfer should complete the admission application for Stevenson University once they complete 45 credits of the associate degree program. Students should contact the Financial Aid Office at Stevenson University as soon as possible regarding college deadlines for financial aid. Students who have completed an associate degree at a Maryland community college are guaranteed admissions to Stevenson.
