Digital Marketing Assistants work with new and ongoing marketing campaigns. Their role includes supporting a company's marketing team by helping execute online marketing strategies, managing digital content, analyzing performance data, and assisting with various digital campaigns. Responsibilities include one or more of the following: content creation and management; social media management; email and campaign support; SEO and website optimization; advertising; analytics and reporting; and general marketing support. Positions can be found in many industries, including business, law, healthcare, and more.This program features courses that will provide students with essential skills and knowledge relevant to today's dynamic marketing environment, with an emphasis on digital marketing. The program consists of four courses that cover topics such as basic marketing concepts and principles; technology used for capturing and analyzing data, communicating with prospects, and developing online and printed media; considerations for messaging and the differences between writing to persuade, engage and perform; and the importance of keyword usage when writing for an online audience. All topics are intertwined with specific emphasis on digital marketing, the role of search engines, search engine optimization, considerations for organic and paid online marketing, blogs, social media, mobile marketing, and how data analytics guide online marketing strategies. Students will be prepared to take Google's Fundamentals of Digital Marketing certification exam at the end of the program.Students enrolling in this program should possess strong computer literacy skills, proficiency in the MS Office suite, excellent written communication skills, strong organizational skills, effective time management abilities, and the ability to work independently.
