New Casino Dealer Training program opens doors to Maryland casino market employment

With the recent opening of the new Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore City, combined with the addition of gaming tables to Maryland Live! And other casinos, Maryland is quickly becoming a favorite destination for those who want to try their hand at games of chance.

According to the Washington Post, Maryland “is now one of the fastest-growing casino markets in the country.”

To help residents qualify for a variety of jobs in this growing gaming and entertainment industry, CCBC offers a number of hospitality training programs in areas such as bartending, food service and beverage management, and guest services.

This spring, CCBC debuted a new Casino Dealer Training program at CCBC Owings Mills. After taking a short series of classes (from 6 and 10 weeks), you can earn a CCBC Casino Dealer Certificate, equipping you with the skills necessary to become a Casino Table Game Dealer at casinos in Maryland and across the USA.

Baltimore County residents are eligible for CCBC Continuing Education Opportunity Grants and other financial aid and payment options for this program. Anyone can register for the program but there are out-of-county fees for non-county residents.
