CCBC named prestigious T-TEN trainer in Mid-Atlantic

CCBC has earned T-TEN certification from Toyota and has joined an elite group of 18 Mid-Atlantic automotive technician trainers to acquire this designation.

To earn this certification, CCBC completed a rigorous, two-year process of updating and certifying its automotive technician-training program under Toyota’s new training standards. CCBC’s T-TEN program enables the college to train and certify students to be technicians on Toyota and Lexus vehicles.

“T-TEN is an industry-leading training program for students and we are happy to be bringing it to the Community College of Baltimore County,” said Dave Zellers, Vice President for Service and Parts Support at Toyota. “The program incorporates strong hands-on learning for students, along with a required paid internship with one of our dealerships service departments.”

Toyota’s T-TEN program is a state-of-the-art training program that trains and places Toyota and Lexus certified technicians in dealership positions. Graduates of the program earn certification as a Master Toyota/Lexus Technician.

“We are excited and grateful to Toyota for the opportunity to administer the T-TEN program for the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said CCBC T-Ten Coordinator George Pattee. “Toyota’s investment and confidence in our school demonstrates the value of a CCBC education.”

T-TEN is a national standards-based educational partnership program operated by Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. T-TEN is partnered with 38 colleges and technical institutes in 26 states. Developed in 1986, T-TEN programs have graduated over 10,000 Toyota and Lexus certified technicians.
