CCBC entrepreneurial students and alumni invited to compete for $1,000 top prize and start-up resources at 2015 Business Plan Competition
Sep 24, 2015This fall, the Center for Business Innovation is hosting its 2015 Business Plan Competition that will award seed money totaling $2,000 to the top four finalists. The first place winner receives $1,000, second-place $500 and the third and fourth-place winners receiving $250 each. Participants will be matched with local business owners who will serve as mentors and the award winners will work with CCBC’s top business students who will provide support in marketing, sales, website development, accounting, and human resources to help the new entrepreneurs launch their businesses.
“Think of it as Shark Tank comes to CCBC,” says Executive Director of the Center Dennis Sullivan. “We’re working with students to develop their business plan. Then they have to make their pitch to a panel of judges who will determine who is awarded the seed money and gains valuable support from CCBC’s best and brightest Business Studies’ students,” says Sullivan.
CCBC students or alumni who would like to participate in the competition must register by Oct. 9 and should contact Dennis Sullivan at 443-840-4395 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Business owners who would like to serve as mentors or judges in the competition should also contact Dennis Sullivan.
