CCBC Dance Company’s Fall Concert - Nov. 17-19 at CCBC Catonsville
The Fall Dance Concert is always a visual feast and this year should be no exception. CCBC Dance Company uses this platform to explore new and re-choreographed works faculty and guest artists. In conjunction with CCBC Performing Arts’ celebration of “A Year of Shakespeare,” the CCBC Dance Company will perform “Dancing Ophelia,” choreographed by guest artist Alice Howes. Howes, artistic director for Trajectory Dance Project, created these dance works which are inspired by the women of Shakespeare’s plays. Mad Women of Macbeth explores the iconic figures of the Weird Sisters and Lady Macbeth. The solo Desdemona portrays this character, isolating and shedding light on her unique predicament.
The Fall Dance Concert will be held 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19 in the Center for the Arts Theatre.
