CCBC welcomes internationally known diversity trainer Jane Elliott
Elliott holds an interactive discussion on the anatomy of prejudice.
On April 26, CCBC will host internationally known educator, lecturer and diversity trainer Jane Elliott.
Creator of the “Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes” exercise, an initiative that taught children about discrimination using eye-color, Elliott will lead a campus discussion around the anatomy of prejudice.
The discussion will explore racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia and ethnocentrism and the responsibilities society shares in challenging systems of oppression. It will cause participants to self-reflect and identify their own racist statements, behaviors and attitudes.
This sold-out event will be held 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., CCBC Catonsville (Center of the Arts) and 3 – 5 p.m., CCBC Essex (Romadka College Center, Theater).
