Actor Sean Berdy offers a glimpse into his extraordinary life

Join CCBC for an inspirational and humorous journey through Sean Berdy's life. Berdy is a deaf actor who has risen to fame for his portrayal of Emmett in ABC Family's Peabody Award-winning drama, "Switched at Birth."
Berdy’s brilliant depiction of Emmett, cast as a "Deaf James Dean," has earned him legions of fans as well as a nomination for TV Breakout Star by the Teen Choice Awards.
Hosted by CCBC’s Interpreter Preparation program, Berdy will share glimpses of his life experiences from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., April 24 in the Center for the Arts, CCBC Catonsville. He uses charisma, warmth and humor to inspire audiences by using his own compelling life story as an example of what one can achieve if they set aside limitations and never stop believing in themselves. Berdy will also perform one of his favorite songs as well as open the floor to questions and provide an opportunity to meet with fans.
The event will be inspiring for both deaf and hearing audiences. An interpreter will be on hand for the hearing attendees who may not be fluent in American Sign Language.
