Be a part of history!
Join CCBC for a viewing of the solar eclipse on Aug. 21 and be a part of history! This astrological phenomenon, scheduled to occur at approximately 2:40 p.m., is the first total solar eclipse to occur in the continental United States in nearly 100 years. Although the Baltimore region is estimated to see a partial eclipse — about 80% of the sun’s surface covered by the moon — it will still be a sight to behold!
The CCBC Benjamin Banneker Planetarium at CCBC Catonsville will be showing a movie on the Eclipses at 2 p.m., August 21 followed by a viewing of the solar eclipse (weather permitting). Eclipse glasses for safe viewing of the sun will be provided.
