Caps off to our grads!

Thousands of family and friends will gather 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 2 at CCBC Essex for the awarding of degrees at CCBC’s 2018 Commencement. Nearly 3,000 students in the Class of 2018 are earning degrees and/or certificates with more than 900 participating in the actual ceremony. The ceremony will take place under a tent, positioned on the multi-purpose field at CCBC Essex.

This year’s commencement speaker is 2018 President’s Distinguished Graduate Tonya D. Green.  Tonya is proof that a dream deferred is not a dream denied having returned to college to earn her degree after a 30 year hiatus. A student veteran, Tonya is graduating with a 3.87 GPA and is already pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Gerontology at Towson University. She will share her story of persistence and provide encouragement to her fellow classmates as they move on to the next chapter in their lives.

Join in on the June 2 celebration and share your magical moments with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter while using #ccbcgrad2018. To find information about directions, parking and so much more visit our Commencement page for details. It’s a wonderful resource for graduates and their families.
