Cockpit in Court Show Schedule, July – August 2018:

July 6 - 15 — The Lion King, Jr.
The African savannah comes to life on stage in Disney’s inspiring, coming-of-age tale full of life’s most important lessons. The familiar and family-friendly Disney story revolves around the life and adventures of Simba, a young lion, and his loving relationship with his father and leader of the pack, Mufasa. The story is told with care and includes fun and memorable songs.

July 20 - August 5 – The Little Mermaid
CCBC’s year of Baltimore Stories continues with The Little Mermaid, a Disney story featuring songs written by Baltimore-born playwright and lyricist Howard Elliott Ashman. In this modern fairytale, young Princess Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above the sea. Ariel bargains with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs, but the bargain is not what it seems.

July 21 - August 5 – Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean
This story is set in a West Texas small-town dime store, where a group of women who call themselves the “Disciples of James Dean” gather for their 20th reunion. They were teenagers when actor James Dean starred in the 1956 American Western film Giant two decades ago, along with Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson, in the nearby town of Marfa. The ladies’ congenial reminiscences mingle with flashbacks to their youth as film extras and various confrontations ensue.
