Decode your cyber career with CCBC and UMUC

Sep 24, 2019

Join the Community College of Baltimore County and University of Maryland University College Wednesday, Oct. 2 at CCBC Essex for an interactive “Decoding Your Cyber Career” event.

Participants will gain industry insight from cyber experts, including the CISO of Under Armour, and have the opportunity to participate in a Capture the Flag challenge, tour the CCBC Cybersecurity Institute, meet with UMUC and CCBC advisors, and network with cybersecurity professionals.

Current high school and college students, veterans and working adults interested in cyber careers are encouraged to attend as they will learn more about the demand for cybersecurity professionals, the latest trends within the industry, and how to leverage knowledge, skills, and certifications to pursue an in-demand cyber career.

Prospective Cybersecurity students can also meet with advisors from both CCBC and UMUC, and find out how to seamlessly transfer credits to UMUC after earning an associate degree in Cybersecurity at CCBC.

This no-cost event is open to the public, but reservations are required to attend. Spots for the Capture the Flag challenges will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP at umuc.edu/cyberevent.
