Your great idea could be worth $20K in CCBC Business Plan Competition

CCBC’s Center for Business Innovation is accepting entries to its Seventh Annual Business Plan Competition, offering a top prize of $20K for a budding entrepreneur. A total of $62,500 in seed money will be awarded among the top six finalists. 

The competition is open to current or former students who have completed at least 15 CCBC credits within the last five years, or who are alumni of a CCBC credit or non-credit degree or certificate program.

Each participant will have access to invitation-only workshops to help them develop critical elements of a viable business plan, including guidance in strategy, marketing and finance.

The Business Plan Competition first-place winner will receive $20K and a range of valuable start-up resources. CCBC’s top Business students will provide support in marketing, sales, website development, accounting, and human resources to help the new entrepreneurs launch their businesses. Local business owners will serve as mentors.

The Center for Business Innovation has helped launch nearly 20 new businesses over the last six years, due in great part to community support and generous sponsorships. This year’s Business Plan Competition sponsors are: Philip E. and Carol R.
