CCBC & Maryland Dental Hygienists' Association host Sealant Saturday 2017

Baltimore County, MD – The Community College of Baltimore County Dental Hygiene Program and the Maryland Dental Hygienists’ Association are co-hosting Sealant Saturday 2017 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Dental Arts Center at CCBC Dundalk, 7200 Sollers Point Road.

This event is free but appointments are required. To register, call the Sealant Saturday hotline at 443-840-3340 and leave a daytime phone number where you can be reached to schedule an appointment.

CCBC dental hygiene students, under the supervision of a dentist and dental hygiene faculty, will apply clear, colorless, protective coatings (sealants) on permanent molar teeth of children ages 6 to 17 years to help prevent tooth decay. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to be treated.

The CCBC Dental Hygiene program in the School of Health Professions offers a dental hygiene clinic throughout the year. From January through May 2017, appointments are available Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The clinic has discounted fees based on the following criteria: CCBC alumni, senior citizens, CCBC student, and general public. The CCBC Dental Hygiene Clinic is open to the public throughout the state. Appointments are required.
