CCBC names Dr. David A. Volpe new dean of Enrollment Management

Community College of Baltimore County has appointed Dr. David A. Volpe the new dean of Enrollment Management effective May 4, 2020.

Volpe joins CCBC with more than 20 years of experience in higher education. He most recently served as interim associate director of admissions at the University of Baltimore. He has held other leadership positions in higher education, including vice chancellor for Student Services at South Louisiana Community College, vice president for Student Services at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and director of the Greensburg Education Center at Carlow University in Pittsburgh.

At CCBC, Volpe will oversee Enrollment Management, which provides a seamless network of services for students from inquiry through graduation and beyond, including such areas as Admissions, Financial Aid, International Student Services and the Registrar.

“I am very excited about Dr. Volpe joining the Enrollment and Student Services division at CCBC, and I am confident that he will do an excellent job in providing leadership and administrative guidance in this important area of our college,” said Richard H. Lilley, Ph.D., vice president of Enrollment and Student Services at CCBC. “His role will be integral to CCBC’s sustainability and growth.”

Volpe holds a doctorate in Administration and Leadership Services from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in Professional Leadership from Carlow University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Saint Vincent College. He has served as chairman of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Chief Student Affairs Officers Committee and on the board of directors for many organizations, including the Girl Scouts of Westmoreland County, Keystone Tall Trees Girl Scout Council and the Three Rivers Community Foundation.
