Gloria K. McJilton
Vice Chair, CCBC Board of Trustees
Gloria McJilton has been an insurance representative since 1976 and holds her property, casualty, life and health insurance licenses. She is an associate agent for McJilton Insurance Service located on Dundalk Avenue in Dundalk, Md., and is the vice president of McJilton Associates, Incorporated.
In addition to being involved in the family-owned and operated agency, McJilton is the past chair and current member of the Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences, as well as a member of the Baltimore County Landmarks Preservation Commission.
She is the current vice president of the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, and a founding member and treasurer for the Greater Dundalk Alliance. She is one of two trustees of the Dundalk Area Scholarship Fund, and the past president and current member of the Woman’s Club of Dundalk. She is also currently serving as a member of the War of 1812 events team.
McJilton served on the Maryland Judicial Nominating Commission for 10 years and had the honor of serving on former Baltimore County Executive James T. Smith’s transition team. Some of her other honors include being named Dundalk’s Citizen of the Year in 2008, and being awarded the Dundalk High School Distinguished Alumni Award in 2000.
