Maryland Scholarships and Grants

The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) is committed to assisting Maryland residents and families to complete their education. OSFA has scholarship and grant programs based on a student's financial need, talents and gifts, or on career choice.

Howard P. Rawlings Program of Educational Excellence Awards

The Educational Assistance and Guaranteed Access Grants require students to complete 30 credit hours by the end of the students' second academic year.

Edward T. and Mary A. Conroy & Jean B. Cryor Memorial Scholarship

Note: New and renewal applicants to the program should contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance.

Part-Time Grant

The Part-Time Grant is awarded to Maryland residents who are degree-seeking undergraduates enrolled in at least 6, but no more than 11 credits, per semester. To apply for this need-based grant, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year as soon as possible. Awards are made based on the availability of state funds. You need to apply each year to be considered for this annual award.
