Alumni Association

The Alumni Association is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors with representation from CCBC’s three campus communities: Dundalk, Catonsville, and Essex. The board works collaboratively with the CCBC Foundation and Alumni Relations staff to strengthen, implement and coordinate programs and services that benefits CCBC alumni.

CCBC’s corporate partnership program, is the best vehicle for businesses to become more involved and maximize their relationship with the college. Connect provides opportunities for engagement that enrich student and faculty experiences and address institutional needs and priorities.

The Hilton Mansion - Global Education Committee

Chaired by Ms. Beverly Vinzant and prominent immigration attorney Ms. Sheela Murthy as Honorary Chair of the Center for Global Education NEH Campaign, has served as the cornerstone committee for the New Beginnings Campaign. Over the course of three years, the fifteen member committee hosted a number of fundraising and education initiatives to increase awareness and support for the campaign, generating over $2.5 million. The committee’s fundraising efforts were focused on the rehabilitation of the historic Hilton Mansion and the establishment of the Center for Global Education Endowment.

Jack's 500 Club

Created as an out birth of the Hilton Mansion/Global Education committee, the Jack Manley 500 Club committee, chaired by Dr. Raymond Bahr and Ms. Sarajane Quinn, worked together during the 2012-2013 year to raise funds to support CCBC’s 21 athletic programs, the restoration of the Hilton Mansion to its original architecture and naming the CCBC Catonsville Gymnasium in honor of Jack Manley, founding athletic director on the Catonsville campus. The committee’s signature event the Jack Manley Roast, held in May of 2013 was tremendous success raising over $50,000. To date, over $220,353 in gifts and pledges are attributed to the Jack Manley 500 Club Campaign fundraising goal of $375,000.

Hospitality and Restaurant Management Task Force (HRMT)

Under the leadership of Wayne Resnick, President of Martin’s Caterer’s twelve senior level executives in the hospitality management industry convened over a twelve month period to give CCBC and its academic leaders feedback and guidance regarding the expansion of its Hospitality Management Program. As a result, CCBC streamlined its Hospitality program focusing efforts on developing training on gaming, customer service and event planning. his resulted in over $200,000 in gifts and pledges.

1960s Reunion Committee

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the class of what was then known as Catonsville Community College, the 1960s Reunion Committee was formed to honor those alumni and to continue CCBC’s legacy of commitment to the community.

Loverde Family Dance

Each year, the Loverde Family Community Fund sponsors its annual Fall Catonsville Dance featuring iconic entertainers from the 60s, 70’s and 80s such as the legendary Van Dykes and the Glenn Leonard’s ‘Temptations Revue’. More than 1,000 people attend each year and help to raise over $25,000 annual to support the rehabilitation of the CCBC Catonsville Hilton Mansion and provide funding to CCBC athletic programs.

Vinzant Committee

To build upon the legacy of M. Graham Vinzant, Jr., a committee of volunteers is working to raise $100,000 to help shape the future of student development at CCBC by providing educators with the resources and opportunities they need in order to identify creative approaches to build professional development and cultivate student learning. To date, $58,425 has been raised towards the $100,000 goal and continues to grow.
