Grant Highlights

  • Increased the pass rate of students passing the first two semesters on the first try by 43%.
  • Increased the graduation rates among non-whites from 22% to 52%.
  • Implemented student support strategies targeting seven healthcare programs.
  • Trained more than 100 dental hygiene and dental assistant students.
  • Provided free or low-cost preventive dental care to more than 600 community members.
  • 241 students enrolled in nursing and allied health programs received scholarships averaging $1,000 for credit programs and $500 for continuing education programs.
