The ESOL program at CCBC provides instruction in English language and civics for the entire family. Designed for the non-native speaker, these non-credit courses teach the English language skills needed to succeed in work, school, and everyday life.

This course starts with basic English for life and work.

ESOL Level 1 - Life Skills
This course introduces simple English for life and work.

ESOL Level 2 - Life Skills
This course improves simple English for life and work.

Intermediate ESOL classes

ESOL Level 3 - EL Civics
This low intermediate course continues to develop English language skills and introduces civics concepts.

ESOL Level 4 - EL Civics
This intermediate course continues to develop English language skills and builds on civics concepts.

ESOL Level 5 - EL Civic Engagement
This high intermediate course continues to develop English language skills and extends civics concepts to civic engagement.

Integrated Skills
This course helps those with a high intermediate level of English improve their language skills.

English Pronunciation for Foreign Speakers
This course will help those with a high intermediate level of English develop the ability to be better understood.

ESOL English for Business Communication
This course is designed to assist high intermediate to advanced level non-native English speakers improve communication skills in the field of business. Students will learn how to better establish and maintain business relationships.

Family literacy ESOL classes

This course is for parents and their elementary school aged or younger children. Together, families improve their reading, speaking, writing and listening skills. The class also includes training on how parents can be full partners in their children’s education. Pre-school and/or childcare provided at most sites and parenting groups and home visits are also offered. This grant funded course is offered FREE of charge. Register for an upcoming session.
