Emergency Medical Technology (EMT)The CCBC Emergency Medical Technology program educates and trains individuals to both EMT Basic and Paramedic.
The EMT and Paramedic provide vital life-sustaining assessment and care to those who are experiencing an out of hospital medical or traumatic emergency, and transports those persons to an appropriate medical facility where more definitive care can be rendered.

The Paramedic program is two years of study with approximately 1500 hours of combined classroom, laboratory,hospital clinical, and field experience. The curriculum is based on the current Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for Paramedic. The CCBC EMT program no longer offers the EMT-Intermediate/99 curriculum.
