Requests for proctoring for non-CCBC coursework or certifications

CCBC provides secure testing for individuals from other colleges/universities or businesses seeking a proctored testing environment.

Appointments are required for proctoring services.

If your company or institution requires a form or the specific name of the proctor, contact the desired testing center location directly to obtain updated contact information.

Fees for proctoring services

  • The CCBC fee for testing must be paid by cash (cash is not accepted at Owings Mills), credit card or check/money order payable to CCBC.
  • Fee payment for CCBC proctoring services will be made at the Bursar’s Office before taking exams at the Testing Centers. A form will be provided to you from Testing Center staff to take to the Bursar’s Office for payment.
  • If you elect to pay the fee the same day as your exam, you must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment to remit payment prior to your exam. NOTE: The Bursars Office is closed on Saturdays.
  • Bring your receipt with you to the testing center. Testing candidates must provide the receipt to the Testing Center staff at the appointment date/time in order to sit for the exam.
  • Exam fees are not refundable. If your exam is cancelled for any reason, the testing fee is valid for up to 90 days.

The fees for proctoring services are:
  • $25 for current or former CCBC students
    (verifiable in CCBC's student database, Banner.)
  • $35 for non-CCBC students

NOTE: Effective June 1, 2015, the fee for proctoring services will be as follows:
  • $40 for exam from a U.S. college, university or company any examinee
  • $75 for any exam from a college, university or company outside of the United States

General Testing Center policies for proctored testing

Closings: The CCBC Testing Centers are closed when the college is closed (i.e. scheduled breaks, inclement weather, etc.). 

On the day of your test, you will need to bring:
  • The name of the college, university or company for whom you are taking the test
  • The payment receipt from the CCBC Bursar’s office
  • An acceptable picture ID that has a printed name and a recognizable photograph. Acceptable forms of photo identification include:
    • a current driver's license,
    • a state approved ID,
    • college ID,
    • current state or federal ID card,
    • current passport,
    • tribal ID card,
    • naturalization card or
    • certificate of citizenship.
**Must have a picture with date and not older than 4 years.

You are not permitted to use any unauthorized Electronic devices (this includes cell phones, phablets, tablets, cell phone watches, laptops and any other electronic devices). These items must be powered down prior to entering the testing room and remain off during the exam. 

Only people actively taking a test are permitted in the Testing Center. Other people (age 16 and older) accompanying the test taker may wait outside the Testing Center. Children may not be left unattended. View CCBC's policy regarding children of students on campus.

Examinees that violate CCBC academic integrity policies or Testing Center policies, will be prohibited from using this proctoring service.
