Steps to Getting Started at CCBC

New to College

1) Submit an admissions application.

2) Meet with an advisor who will explain the placement testing process and sign you up for an orientation session.

3) Attend an orientation session which will include placement testing, selecting courses, and registering for those courses.

Previous College Experience/Visting Students

1) Submit an admissions application.

2) Submit an official copy of your transcript to the Records Office.

3) Bring an unofficial/copy of your transcript with you to meet with an advisor who will use your transcript to determine whether you will need to take any of the CCBC placement tests and/or help you select courses.

4) Register for courses.

International Students

1) Contact the International Student Admissions Office to discuss the requirements/documents necessary.

2) If you have previous college coursework, have your previous courses translated into the American System using AACRAO evaluation and have an official copy of this evaluation sent to the Records Office. Bring a copy of this evaluation with you to meet with an advisor who can suggest the best courses for you to register for.

3) If you do not have previous college coursework, then you would need to take the CCBC placement tests. Meet with an advisor who can explain the process.
