What is ARTSYS and how can it help me plan my future?
ARTSYS - the Articulation System for Maryland Colleges and Universities is a state wide program that allows you to plan transfer credits by entering in CCBC and your transfer college of choice. You can do a program to program articulation or simply by course. Click here to check it out and start transferring those credits!

What steps should I take to transfer my credits?
A key to successfully transfer your credits into or from CCBC is to become familiar with the transfer articulation agreements included on this Site. These agreements commit one institution to accept comparable courses taken at another institution. Over the years, CCBC has established first-rate partnerships with many schools and colleges and universities. These agreements list specific policies, conditions, and guidelines to assist you with the transfer process and ensure successful articulation/transfer of credits. See the left hand column of this page to start today!

Consult with transfer specialists.
Due to the fact that institutions often independently determine graduation requirements for their degrees and for individual programs, you want to consult the specific articulation agreement for the college/university and the program that interests you. If you do so, you will not have to retake courses that you have already completed successfully. Work with CCBC Advisors, H.S. Advisors, and the Advisors fro the college and universities that you want to transfer into. Click here to see a list of transfer fairs hosted at CCBC.

Why should I transfer?
Education pays. According to statistics published by the U.S. Department of Labor, college graduates earn $20,000 more in a year than high school graduates. An unemployment rate of 5.5% for high school grads decreases to approximately 3.5% for college grads. In fact, students who complete programs at CCBC earn approximately 36.5% more than those with only a high school diploma. Needless to say, more education enriches our personal lives and provides opportunities for upward mobility.

Is there someone to help me in my transfer scholarship search?
There are many opportunities for CCBC students to apply for transfer scholarships to their 4-year college or university of choice. Click here to find out more.
