Dear Prospective Medical Laboratory Technology Student,

Thank you for your interest in the CCBC Medical Laboratory Technology program. Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) perform:

  • Variety of complex medical laboratory tests
  • Develop data on blood, tissues, and other fluids of the human body
  • Use highly computerized and automated equipment
  • Interpret patient results
  • Evaluate quality control tests
  • Maintain equipment in good working order

  • Offers the full range of clinical and didactic experiences for students who wish to practice as MLTs.

  • Currently seeking accreditation from National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) WWW.NAACLS.ORG; 8410 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Suite 670, Chicago, IL. 60631; (773)714-8880

  • Graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination given by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) WWW.ASCP.ORG.

  • Clinical sites are located thoughout the Baltimore metropolitan area.

  • The program is a Selective Admissions Program
