Liberata, named after the patron saint of lost causes, is a Baltimore folk/rock band led by CCBC Music Program graduate, Sinead Fahey (vocals/songwriter) and Christie Macdonald (guitarist/arranger). Both are graduates of Towson University’s Jazz program and are joined in their music-making by two other Towson grads, Derek Wiegmann on bass and Asher Herzog on drums. They fuse comical banter and emotionally driven original songs while blending modern folk/rock and jazz elements, and have become a powerful force on the Baltimore Indie music scene.
