Introduction to Multimedia Scripting
Examines how to script animated projects using a time-based software package. Students learn how to develop cross-platform multimedia projects that utilize an ECMA-based scripting languare to manipulate and control internal and external data.

MULT 109 – 3 Credits
Multimedia Authoring I
Examines the use of computer technology to enhance presentations and create interactive educational and training materials; covers screen design, animation, and scripting. NOTE: Additional lab time outside of class may be required to complete course projects.
Prerequisites: ENGL 051 or ESOL 051, RDNG 051 or ESOL 053, and previous word processing and Internet experience, or written permission from instructor required
MULT 110 – 3 Credits
Game Programming I
Introduces programming using an event driven programming environment with an emphasis on simulation and game application; includes use of computers for learning games; event driven programming concepts; game hardware integration; usability and algorithm development; covers variables, functions, user centered design, control structures, data structures and random events. NOTE: Additional lab time outside of class is required for programming assignments.

Graphics for Multimedia
Examines the use of cross-platform software to create images, logos, backgrounds, and control buttons for digital display in multimedia and Internet applications; covers image-editing using the extensive capabilities of industry-standard image processing software and file compression.
Prerequisite: CGVC 102 or ARTS 102 or consent of instructor
MULT 201 – 3 Credits
Multimedia Algorithms
Examines how to develop animated multimedia projects using a time-based software package; covers how to program in the scripting language of the multimedia software.

MULT 204 – 3 Credits
Managing Learning with Technology
Examines how to use technology to maximize individual student involvement and teacher-learner communication, match technology to individual learner styles, and collaborate in online groups.
Prerequisite: CINS 155 or written permission from instructor required
MULT 205 – 3 Credits
Introduction to 3D Modeling
Introduces students to a 3D grahics program. Students learn to create and animate 3D landscapes and objects.
Prerequisites: CGVC 120 or MULT 121 with a minimum of "C" is required.
MULT 206 – 3 Credits
Online Course Management
Explores the pedagogy and tools needed to effectively create and manage learning in the online environment; covers the translation of course objectives and classroom activities into online activities, course management tools and other software packages used in organizing and managing an online course.
Prerequisites: CINS 155 and MULT 109 or written permission from instructor required
MULT 209 – 3 Credits
Multimedia Authoring II
Examines how to author an instructional interactive multimedia presentation for CD or web distribution using a cross-platform authoring package; explores the built-in functionality of the package and the use of system functions and variables in creating an engaging learning application.
Prerequisite: ARTS 131, MULT 108 and MULT 109 with a minimum of "C" required or written permission from instructor.
MULT 210 – 3 Credits
Game Programming II
Builds on skills learned in MULT 110. Game Programming I. Students learn collision detection, multiplayer support, trigonometry and the application of basic Newtonian physics in electronic games. Additional topics include the use of graphics, audio, and high score list support.

MULT 211 – 3 Credits
Digital Audio and Digital Video
Explores the use of digital audio editing and the creation of audio files and explores the use of digital video editing and the creation of various video formats; covers non-linear editing, transitions, effects, and planning for multimedia applications.
Prerequisites: MULT 121 and MULT 109 or written permission from instructor required
MULT 221 – 3 Credits
Multimedia Project Development
Provides the structure and environment to design, develop, and deliver web-based multimedia projects. This is a capstone course in the Internet and Multimedia Technology program. NOTE: Additional time outside of class is required to meet with development teams and content expert.
Prerequisite: MULT 201 or MULT 209 or CINS 157
MULT 230 – 3 Credits
Educational Technology Process
Applies the instructional design process to instructional situations; covers how to assess needs, analyze lesson content, identify and develop technology-based strategies which match learning situations/learning objectives, implement technology solutions, and evaluate a lesson's effectiveness.
