Clinical Counseling Services


Clinical Counseling provides confidential assistance with personal, career, and academic concerns. Licensed mental health professionals help students identify, understand and overcome problems that interfere with learning and academic performance. Services include individual counseling, skill building workshops, crisis intervention and referral to college and community resources. Counseling is confidential and never included in the academic record.

These are some of the typical concerns explored in counseling:

  • Dealing with pressures of college, work and home
  • Managing time demands
  • Lack of academic success
  • Feeling tense, anxious, overwhelmed or fearful
  • Loneliness and depression
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Traumatic experience
  • Learning disabilities
