International Education
The Community College of Baltimore County is committed to providing students the opportunity to better understand the impact of the world upon their personal and professional lives. The International Education program at CCBC works to increase international student enrollment and to incorporate this population into the life of the institution.
CCBC has established links with institutions in England, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belize and Africa. Visiting scholars from these institutions have provided classroom instruction at CCBC. All International Education projects are designed to increase tolerance and understanding of other cultures and prepare students to live in a diverse world.
International student services
CCBC provides the following programs and services to new and continuing international and immigrant students:

Welcome and Orientation programs

Advisement of visa, immigration, financial, health insurance and employment matters from pre-arrival to departure

Updates to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security of continuing F-1 students’ registration, address changes and other events through the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS)

Interpretation of college regulations, policies and procedures

Transitional support for students seeking health insurance, transportation, banking, legal and other services in the community

Advising and registration sessions

Cross-cultural orientation, adjustment and referral to other services as needed

Intercultural programs and activities to foster interaction and increased appreciation among international and U.S. students

Social activities through the International Club, College Life and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
