Program Description:
This 23-credit certificate provides comprehensive instruction in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), photogrammetry and remote sensing, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Geospatial techniques are used to aid in decision making in fields as diverse as business, marketing, homeland security, public policy, environment, engineering, public health, archeology, and criminal justice by identifying patterns between graphical information (maps) and data. The certificate option focuses on core courses and immediate employment in the field.
