Program Description

The Web Technology degree program prepares students for careers in web design and web development.

Server-Side Option:
The Web Technology Server-Side Degree Option prepares students for a career in back-end web development, focusing on web application development, server-side scripting and web database applications. Through hands on projects they will develop a solid background in common programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript and C/C++, while choosing to focus on either PHP and Cold Fusion or ASP and Visual Basic. Graduates of this program may find employment opportunities as web developers and web programmers in business, government and education.

Client-Side Option:
The Web Technology Client-Side Degree Option gives students a solid background in web and interactive design as well as imaging hardware and software. Through design projects and hands-on experience they will develop a working knowledge of web design and multimedia project authoring including topics such as usability, interface design, HTML coding, and client side scripting. This degree option prepares students for entry-level positions with companies specializing in web design and multimedia design as well as production companies, advertising design firms, and corporate training development companies.
