Transfer Pattern – Studio Production
*A new college orientation requirement, completion of the one-credit ACDV 101 course, Transitioning to College, goes into effect spring 2010. If you are a credit student who is new to college in the spring 2010 semester (meaning you have not previously successfully completed college coursework at another institution(s)), you are required to take ACDV 101 during your first semester at CCBC, possibly increasing the number of credits required for the degree to a minimum of 61 credits. PLEASE NOTE: If you are new to college and completed one or more credit courses successfully at CCBC in the fall 2009 semester, you are ENCOURAGED but NOT REQUIRED to take ACDV 101 in the spring 2010 semester.
Pattern Description:
This degree pattern is designed for students who wish to transfer to a bachelor's degree program in Mass Communication or a related field. Some baccalaureate institutions vary in their requirements. The student is advised to consult with the program advisor. If the transfer institution is known, the pattern of courses may be adjusted to meet that institution’s requirements. Students should be aware that some MCOM course offerings are campus-specific. Studio production facilities are located on the Essex campus.
Mass Communications provides opportunities for students who wish to continue their studies at a four-year institution in fields such as studio production, film, electronic media, journalism, and disciplines in corporate communications such as advertising and public relations.
