Degree and Certificate Requirements
Associate degree (A.A., A.S., A.A.S., A.F.A., A.A.T.)
Students
are eligible to receive an associate degree if they have met the
following requirements:

Complete all course requirements in a given program. An associate
degree requires the completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours in
college level courses in either transfer or career program.

Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Earn at least 31 credits in a program at CCBC or complete the final 15
credits of a curriculum at CCBC.
NOTE: Students enrolled under
joint college/military agreements may complete their final 15 credits
in any order or time sequence.

Complete the General Education requirements.
-
Meet financial and academic obligations to the college.

Submit an application for graduation to the
appropriate office by the published deadline.

Verify high school graduation through GED or high school diploma, or
degree from another accredited college or university.
An additional degree
CCBC supports graduates wishing to
pursue additional courses beyond their associate degrees. Additional
associate degrees will be awarded to students who meet the following
requirements:

Complete a minimum of 15 additional credits after the awarding of the
last associate degree.

Fulfill the course requirements in the additional program of study.
-
Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Earn 31 credits or the final 15 credits at CCBC.

Submit an application for graduation to the
appropriate office by the published deadline.
Certificates
Certificates are awarded to students enrolled in
a variety of career and transfer programs. Students are eligible to
receive certificates if they have met the following requirements:

Complete the courses listed in the certificate program.

Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Complete at least 25 percent of the credits required in the
certificate program at CCBC.

Meet financial and academic obligations.

Submit an application for graduation to the
appropriate office by the published deadline.
Letters of recognition
Letters of Recognition are brief
patterns of study that lead to either career/skills enhancement or
academic achievement in a specific study area. Following successful
completion of course work, CCBC awards a letter of recognition. To
qualify for the Letter of Recognition, a student must:

Complete all courses designated in the Letter of Recognition.

Achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Submit an application to the appropriate office by the published
deadline.
