Academic advisement
Academic advisement teaches students to develop educational plans. Advisors assist students with:

• Selecting courses based upon assessment placement results in reading, English and mathematics
• Identifying courses towards the fulfillment of a certificate, associate degree or for personal enrichment
• Clarifying academic goals
• Selecting a major or course of study

The advisement centers also assist students with transfer information through:

• ARTSYS (Web-based transfer information system)
• College Transfer Day
• Campus visits by four-year colleges and universities
• In-class workshops
