CCBC Arts Showcase
|
Produced by CCBC-TV, each hour-long program highlights the
artistic and creative talents of CCBC students, faculty and guest
artists in performances, and exhibits presented on the CCBC campuses.
The CCBC Bulletin Board
|
A text-over-still-picture display of announcements broadcast on the
cable channels promoting the college and providing information on
college services. These announcements contain information on college
events, activities and services that are open to the general public. In
addition, The CCBC Bulletin Boarddisplays information on Career &
Academic Programs and for Continuing & Adult Education opportunities

CCBC Connections
|
A lively and informative half hour program produced by CCBC-TV featuring
interviews with campus newsmakers, campus leaders, and academic & career
program coordinators in short information packed interview segments.
Each half hour show will present a series of three to five fast paced
interviews highlighting accomplishments of members of the college
community, and talking with campus leaders and students about college
services and programs that are available to CCBC students and the public.
CCBC: In the Spotlight
|
A 30 minute interview show produced by CCBC-TV presents one-on-one
interviews with prominent local, regional and national speakers
discussing a variety of issues and their personal experiences. Guests on
Spotlight may include visiting guest speakers/lecturers/artists brought
to our campuses, giving the viewer an up-close look at the person behind
the issue.
CCBC Perspectives
|
Features CCBC invited lecturers and college faculty as they explore a
variety of topics of academic and community interest presenting thought
provoking lectures, forums and panel discussions on contemporary issues
and current events. Topics range from Philosophy to Diversity to Women's
Issues to the Learning College. This hour long series is produced by CCBC-TV.
LIFE: Literacy is For Every One
|
This eight-part series of lessons on Literacy is hosted by Professor Ken
Bourn of CCBC Essex (retired) and produced by CCBC-TV. Each
half-hour long program examines different aspects of
adult-reading-difficulty issues and provides easy to follow formulas for
recognizing written words. LIFE is also a Continuing Education course.

Music Makers & Shakers
|
CCBC's Creative Arts Center has enjoyed local acclaim for its work on
the development of young children's musical talents. In recognition of
this work, CCBC-TV developed and produced this 16-part series targeted
at preschoolers, toddlers and Early Childhood Education professionals.
The series, hosted by Barbara McGill, showcases children's musical
talent development during three stages of development - from infancy
through toddler to preschool age. Produced by CCBC-TV.
CCBC Special Presentations
|
Each year CCBC-TV offers a variety of special presentations ranging from
documentaries to artistic performances to lectures/discussions of
contemporary concerns to athletic events. Among our documentary series
are the six-part "Another Kind of Hero" and two-part, two-hour long
"...With Wings as Eagles". Every summer, we showcase our students in our
full-length Graduation coverage. Check often for announcements on
upcoming specials on CCBC-TV.
Neighborhood Beat
|
This lively 30-minute show features interviews with local, state and
regional community leaders and covers a variety of topics including
neighborhood living, community development, housing, human rights,
accessibility for people with disabilities and other issues important to
neighborhoods. The show is hosted and produced by Bill Kladky,
administrator of the Greater Baltimore Community Housing Resource Board,
Inc. The program is funded by the GBCHRB Inc. and is produced in

Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs
|
A one-hour program dealing with topics in international politics,
economics, and social issues as they affect the United States. Each
program consists of a guest speaker addressing the Council followed by a
question and answer period. Guest speakers include foreign ambassadors
and national and international political and diplomatic representatives.

CineMaryland
|
A magazine format which examines the exploding film industry in
Maryland. The goal is to provide viewers with an inside view of all
aspects of the dynamic film business, which is having a tremendous
economic impact in Maryland. The program is underwritten by the Maryland
Film Office for the duplication and distribution of the show in 9
Maryland Counties and Baltimore City. CineMaryland takes viewers
up close and personal with film industry people working in front of the
camera and behind the scenes. Each CineMaryland program begins
with the Trivia Teaser, a trivia question about Maryland actors
and Maryland made films. The answer is announced at the end of the show.
The next segment, In the Limelight, highlights various aspects of
the film industry. Reel Talk presents a one-on-one discussion
with an individual in the film industry. The final segment, What’s
the Buzz, fills the viewer in on other film happenings. For more

Health Today

This monthly 30-minute program focuses on health and wellness issues.
Hosted by Florence Miller, Educational Coordinator with Blue Cross/Blue
Shield the program features lively and informative interviews with
experts in the field of medicine and health. Health Today is

Interfaith Roundtable

Produced by the Baltimore Mayor's Office of Cable and Telecommunication,
this award-winning half-hour roundtable discussion provids a unique
opportunity to hear local religious and spiritual leaders examine ways
to incorporate values and ethics in everyday life. Viewers can learn
about different religions to create connections and greater
