Children’s Developmental Clinic For Special Needs Children

Do you know a child with physical, social, or psychological challenges?

The Children’s Developmental Clinic, sponsored by CCBC’s Division of Business, Social Sciences, Wellness and Education, helps children with special needs manage their unique challenges. Children are mentored in the areas of motor development, academic, and social skills.

Children work with trained student clinicians to develop:

  • Self esteem
  • Social skills
  • Body awareness
  • Muscle strength
  • Balance and coordination using the “Floor Time” method.

Children will also have the opportunity to practice reading, writing, math, and art activities. Parents may choose to attend informal education and discussion groups and may also work with their child’s clinician.

Sessions are on-on-one Fun with Friends programs using the Floor Time approach which stresses physical skills and safety in a supportive atmosphere. Children range in age from 1 – 14 years and will be grouped by age. If your child can benefit from the services we provide, now is the time to register.
