PROGRAMMING

Overview:

This section includes a range of programming languages.

Purpose:

These courses are meant to provide training on specific programming languages.
 

Target Participant:

Those who want to enter the programming field, or current programmers looking to enhance their skill set and knowledge of particular languages.

Programming Introduction $160, $140 seniors
Learn general programming concepts that apply to most programming languages. Students get an overview of programming and learn object-oriented programming, calculations, storing values, making decisions, looping, and making programs modular. Prerequisite: Windows Intro or equivalent knowledge.

Object Oriented Programming Principles $130, $110 seniors
Discover the general principles underlying the practice of object-oriented programming. Concepts and principles are presented in a generic manner, and are intended to prepare you for programming in virtually any object-oriented programming language. Where specific illustrations are required, they are presented through pseudo-code. Prerequisite: Programming Intro or equivalent knowledge.
