Introductory Ceramics $105, $70 seniors Students can learn hand-building techniques and wheel-throwing instruction including types and uses of clay, pinch pot and their use in creating sculptural forms, coiling, slab construction, an introduction to wheel techniques, decorating, glazing, and intaglio, ending in a class project. Hand-building Techniques with Clay $59, $59 seniors When was the last time you played in the mud? This course is designed to introduce hand-building techniques with low-fire (earthenware) clay. A variety of techniques, including pinching and coiling, as well as types of clay and finishing techniques, are included. Materials fee up to $35 due first class.
