Lampworking: Make Your Own Glass Beads
Total Cost: $90 (Tuition: $0 Fees: $90)

Try something new! Make your own glass beads from imported Italian glass. Explore shape and surface decoration including dots, metal foils and frit. Wear cotton clothing and closed in shoes. Protective eyewear will be provided. Materials fee up to $35 due at first class.

Make Silver Jewelry from Precious Metal Clay
Total Cost: $90 (Tuition: $0 Fees: $90)

Create fine silver jewelry using Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC consists of silver particles suspended in an organic binder to create a pliable material with a consistency of modeling clay. When fired in a kiln, the binder burns away to leave a solid piece of fine silver. You will learn the basic techniques of PMC: how to form, cut, mold and texture the material using a basic tool kit. No previous jewelry experience necessary. Materials fee up to $70 due first class.

Precious Metal Clay Continuing

Make a box, bead/pendant or several three-dimensional projects, such as tube beads and round beads hollow forms and lentil shaped beads. You will learn a tear-away paper texturing technique to imprint your beads. Previous experience with PMC or permission of the instructor required. A materials
fee of up to $70 due first class.

Sculpey Jewelry
Total Cost: $54 (Tuition: $0 Fees: $54)

Use Sculpey modeling clay to make one of a kind jewelry that looks like metal, wood, bone and more. Learn clay handling techniques including conditioning, color mixing/blending and curing. Class will make simple canes for the creation of two different patterned beads. Final projects are pins and/or necklace pendants. Materials fee of $20 payable first class.

Braided (Kumihimo) Jewelry
Total Cost: $45 (Tuition: $0 Fees: $45)

Make round braids for jewelry using a Kumihimo disk. These braids may be used to create unique bracelets, necklaces earrings. Learn this ancient Japanese craft as you make colorful jewelry incorporating beads and a variety of yarns and fibers. Materials fee of $30 payable first class.
