This jewelry design course will review peyote, brick stitch, and right angle weave and teach you to incorporate such materials as air dry clay and shrink plastic into your own designs of earrings, bracelets, brooches and necklaces. You'll discuss professional looking finishing techniques, where to find design inspiration as well as where to find exciting beads and other findings.

Try something new! Make your own glass beads from imported Italian glass. Explore shape and surface decoration including dots, metal foils and frit. Wear cotton clothing and closed in shoes. Protective eyewear will be provided. Materials fee up to $30 due at first class.

Recycled Soda Can Bracelet
Total Cost: $35 (Tuition: $0 Fees: $35)
This course is designed to enable the student to learn how to develop the student's knowledge of jewelry making by recycling soda cans into wearable art. Through this project students learn how to put the tab tops together with ribbon and learn the fundamentals of enhancing this piece with beads using wire. Students will create a bracelet using soda can tab-tops in the first class and enhance the bracelet with beads and wire in the second class.
