The word is out, the federal government is hiring! If your plan is a federal job, you will want to be "at the ready" when new job announcements are posted.  CCBC's Federal Employment Workshop will help you to be a winner in the federal job search process.

  • Gain an understanding of the federal hiring process
  • Effectively research and read federal vacancy announcements
  • Create an effective federal application package
  • Learn specific federal requirements that MUST be included in every federal resume and cover letter
  • Discover the importance of KSAs (knowledge, skills and abilities)
  • Learn how to write KSA statements using a tried and true OPM formula

Food Service Certification

This course is designed to enable the student to learn the regulations, standards, principles, and practices of sanitation and hygiene in the food service industry. Successful completion of this course will qualify the student for the National Restaurant Association's Educational Foundation (NRAEF) National Sanitation Certificate. Topics to be covered include food safety systems, sanitation regulations and standards, responsibilities of a safe food handler, accident prevention procedures, storage principles, and procedures for proper purchasing and safe receiving of food.

Food Service Re-Certification
Total Cost: $125 (Tuition: $62 Fees: $63)

This course is designed to enable students who have been certified through a previous ServSafe course to refresh their knowledge of food service sanitation through this one-day session. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols and new food codes will be discussed. Successful completion of this course will qualify the student for the National Restaurant Association's Educational Foundation (NRAEF) National Sanitation Re-certification. Topics to be covered include sanitation regulations, standards and procedures; food contamination; biological and chemical food-borne illnesses; safe storage principles and practices; safe food handling; cleaning materials; and regulations governing food service facilities in Maryland.
