Academic Skills Enhancement (ASE)*Grant Funded - No Fee
This class will help you brush up on your skills. Classes run for 20 sessions and offer practical reading, writing and math skills for adults. ASE/GED
Cost: No Fee (*Grant Funded)
This course offers ASE and GED instruction on an individualized basis. Computer-assisted instruction is available in some classes. This course prepares individuals for further education or employment. Placement testing is required at registration to enroll in this class. Books and materials are included.

ASE/GED – Off-Campus/Community-Based Locations
Cost: No Fee (*Grant Funded)
This course offers Academic Skills Enhancement and GED instruction at selected sites located in various Baltimore County communities. Class instruction is individualized, and workplace, family, and other life issues are also incorporated into instruction. This course offers students the opportunity to gain basic education skills and/or skills necessary to pass the GED test, as well as helping students progress to future education or employment. Daytime and evening classes are available. Call the contact number below to make an appointment to be assessed.

ASE/GED – Family Literacy for Parents and Children
Cost: No Fee (*Grant Funded)
This course offers Academic Skills Enhancement and GED instruction for parents with elementary school aged or younger children. Family, school and job-related issues are incorporated into individual and group instruction. Class includes training for parents on how to be full partners in their children's education. Pre-school and/or childcare (for children 0-3 years of age) is provided with educational activities that focus on the preparation of the children for success in school and other life experiences. Transportation is available for day classes only. Parenting groups and home visits offered. Contact the site to enroll in the class and to make an appointment to be assessed.

Comprehensive Math Skills Review
Cost: No Fee (*Grant Funded)
This course will increase your math skills and help you transition to GED, External Diploma Program (EDP) and Developmental Math Courses.
A placement test at registration is required for enrollment in this course.

Essential Skills Enhancement
Cost: $175 (Tuition: $ 50 Fees: $125)
This course is designed to develop and review the basic reading, writing, and math skills required by the 2002 General Education Development (GED) test. Topics to be covered include literature and the arts: reading, social studies, science, writing skills, essay development, mathematical computation including areas of estimation, fractions, algebra, geometry, problem solving, and the use of the scientific calculator. This class will offer information on a wide variety of post-secondary options to enable the students to assume primary responsibility for their choices. Books and materials are included in the cost of the course.

Maryland GED-i (online) Cost: No Fee (*Grant Funded)
Maryland GED-i is a free, teacher-supported online learning environment for GED test preparation offered by the Maryland Department of Education to Maryland residents. Do you need help in one part or all five parts of the GED exam? This program only assigns lessons in areas you haven't mastered. In order to be eligible for Maryland GED-i you must be a Maryland resident, at least 16 years old, officially out of school, and able to demonstrate minimum 9th grade skills by pre-testing in math and reading.

Grammar Refresher Online
Cost: $99 (Tuition: $20 Fees: $79)
Gain confidence in your ability to produce clean, grammatically correct documents or speeches. The GED Official Practice Test (OPT) $30
The Official Practice Test (OPT) acquaints students with the format of the actual GED test. The OPT is offered one Saturday of each month at CCBC Catonsville and CCBC Essex and takes 6 hours to complete.
