Commercial Truck Driver Training

There is a nationwide shortage of commercial truck drivers. The American Trucking Industry estimates the need for 400,000 new drivers over the next decade. It’s no wonder trucking is considered one of the hottest occupations around. CCBC’s Transportation Department offers CDL-B and CDL-A training program options for men and women featuring experienced instructors, personal attention and behind the wheel training on top of the line equipment. The courses are designed to provide students with the knowledge to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) learner’s permit. Topics to be covered include test preparation, air brakes, hazardous materials, safe driving practices, CDL terminology, math skills for truckers, as well as job search and life skills for truckers.
