CCBC Catonsville, CCBC Dundalk, and CCBC Owings Mills

Exciting half-day offerings allows you the flexibility of choosing either morning or afternoon half-day sessions; four convenient locations around the beltway make CCBC camps easy to reach.

Half-day camps will include reading, writing, math, language arts, visual arts, and an exploration of new areas in criminal justice, fashion and design, jewelry crafts and more. Extended hours and lunch care are not available for half day camps.

Chemistry Lab Experiments for Middle Schoolers (Ages 12-14) $139
FUN with science! Explore properties of matter, physical and chemical changes, and classification and structure of matter. The property of density lets you turn copper into silver or gold. Make Gak and Gloop as you investigate polymers and states of matter. Use laboratory equipment to collect and analyze data.

Children's Summer Art Studio (Ages 7-11) $119
Draw, paint, and sculpt in a variety of media. Develop your artistic skills while exploring different subject matter. Fun art exercises are combined with student directed projects using a variety of subject matter including still life, landscape, and portraits. Some art history is included.

Computer Keyboarding for Young People(Ages 7-11) $129
It is never too soon to master keyboarding skills. Whether you want to work with word processing or computer graphics, you can learn correct keyboarding techniques and avoid the "hunt and peck" method as you have fun with Microsoft Word.

Computer Animation Workshop(2 week class) (Ages 10-13) $258
In this creative workshop, students learn to draw and produce a short animation using Macromedia Flash animation software. The class explores basic concepts of computer animation including basic drawing tools as well as simple animations, glow buttons, graphic morphing, and graphic layering. Each student will create a cartoon-like animation, outlining and revising their storyboard and present their short animation to class.

Cool Math for Kids (Ages 7-11) $119
More than just numbers, this is one of the most popular and fun forms of learning math. Discover techniques for solving math problems and puzzles through practice, fun activities and creative thinking.

CSI: Forensic Detectives (Ages 14-16) $119
Crime scene investigation is a hot topic. Step into forensic science to find out how professional investigator's collect and identify fingerprints, examine hair and fiber samples, identify blood spatter patterns, identify footprints and use cast materials.

Design & Decorate Your Dream Room (Ages 12-16) $135
Use your creativity to make a decorating plan for a room in your home. Learn how to match colors, accessorize and pick fabric, place furniture and plan for just the right look. This is a good way to find out if you have the flair to be an interior designer or want to just have fun generating ideas for your room.

Fun with Chinese (Mandarin) (Ages 7-11) $119
This introductory Chinese course is designed to help the student with the first steps in listening to and speaking the Mandarin form of the language. Reading and writing skills will be introduced and practiced when the students have demonstrated some basic conversational skills. Also, the learner will be introduced to the rich and fascinating world of Chinese culture through the centuries.

Fun with Japanese (Ages 7-11) $119
This class explores beginning Japanese language and cultural aspects. The student will develop skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing basic Japanese language through conversational dialogues, music, games and hands-on activities. Topics include greetings, numbers, family members, colors, daily activities, and food in a culturally immersed experience.

A fun and exciting workshop explores the traditional and digital techniques of animation. Create your own unique works of art with different three-dimensional computer animation and cartoon-like animation using a variety of software packages.

Web Page Designs (Ages 12-16) $139
Having fun putting the pizzazz in your own Web page designs using Microsoft Front-Page. Students will learn how to create Web pAges that expresses their individuality with the use of color, forms, tables, frames, hyperlinks, and graphic designs.
