Center for Academic, Career and Life Planning

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Counseling Center is to facilitate the personal growth and development of students. Our counseling services, academic advisement, and training programs are designed to enhance the personal and interpersonal development of students and to help students achieve their academic goals. We further strive to foster a healthy, caring campus community which is as beneficial as possible to the intellectual, emotional, and physical development of students.

Counseling Services:

Counseling Services are designed to help students achieve emotional growth and personal well-being which will contribute to a positive, holistic educational experience.

There services are free and available to all student who are currently enrolled in classes at CCBC.

Concerns often explored in counseling:

Managing time demands
Lack of academic success
Loneliness and Depression
Relationship difficulties
Difficulties with instructors
Feeling tense, anxious, overwhelmed, or fearful
Dealing with pressures of college, work and home

 The counselor may refer you to community resources for additional assistance, if necessary.
